Another Superb Vintage Slip by Miss New Yorker in a size 32. Amazing details with one of the most generous decorative hems ~ 7 1/2" inches to be exact. The hem & bodice trim are both done in a beautiful sheer nylon chiffon embroidered with ivory satin thread in a unique design. The workmanship is very intricate. The bodice trim is actually 3 1/2" which smoothly flows around to the back. Bust cups are cut into a triangle wedge design & gently gathered to give you a bit of extra fullness. Tiny rayon straps with adjustable metal hardware to fit you accordingly. The gown itself is quite sheer & made of an ivory rayon blend. It is bias cut to drape beautifully across your skin & has that bit of extra flare at the hem. Pinked seams. Circa late 1940's to very early 1950's. Comes with the original box which is in very good condition considering the age. A beautiful bonus that is quite rare to find. These boxes sell by themselves for up to $35 each.
